At The Greetland Academy we encourage our children to contribute to the wider community and are so proud when we hear of our children doing this.
In 2021 we started The Greetland Academy Community Spirit Award in response to how our children had found ways to help others during what had been very difficult times. Children who do amazing things to support out local or wider community will have their name engraved on our trophy forever.
See below to find out about our recipients.
If you would like to nominate one of our pupils to receive this award please email ks2@greetlandacademy.org.uk telling us why a particular pupil would deserve this.
The Fundraising Club have been working tirelessly to bring our community together through a staff raffle and a KS2 raffle.
Their efforts have paid off in the most inspiring way — raising an incredible £1161 for The Overgate Hospice!
This achievement is a true reflection of the generosity, teamwork, and community spirit that shines throughout our school. A huge well done to the girls in the Fundraising Club for their creativity, dedication, and determination.
Your kindness will make a real difference, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way you’ve shown what it means to care for others.
Arlo has taken part in a 5K inflatable charity fun run alongside his mum and dad to raise money for Invictus Wellbeing, a charity that supports the mental health of young people. He was determined to complete the challenge and help others as Invictus came into school and he had been talking about it ever since. Together with his mum and dad, Arlo raised £250.
Arlo, you have displayed all of our school values and we are extremely proud of your achievement!
